Putain merde !
Damn. I was walking around Gare du Nord (a large train station in Paris) when I realized that I had lost my cell phone. So I started retracing my steps and looking all over the neighborhood, but it was useless. I asked a few people and shop-owners if they had seen it, but they all told me they hadn't and if I had lost around the station, that was it and there was no chance of finding it. The train station is, let's just say, not in the best part of town. I talked to one man who said the quarter had a lot of junkies, so the chance of recovering it was slim. I went to Fnac (a major electronics store chain in France) to buy a new cell phone, but they were closed since it's Sunday. I'll have to go there tomorrow either before I leave for Montpellier or once I get there to buy a new one. I don't know. Ugh. But before all that, I had lunch at a little Indian restaurant. The food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't very spicy. There was a lot of it, however, and not too expensive. It's really hard to find vegetarian food in Paris, I find, and it was one of the only restaurants where there's vegetarian food. Especially since I don't have a kitchen to make it myself, but that's going to change when I get to Montpellier. I've eaten a lot of smoked salmon here since it's one of the few things I can eat. Anyway, that's it for now. I'll let you know when I get to Montpellier.

Well, I arrived in Paris after too many flights, connections, and without bags, but I am safe and sound anyway. I didn't sleep a lot on the flights and so I've only slept about 5 hours in the past 40 hours. I bought a new SIM card, so my new number is 06.82.53.50.25. Any calls I receive are free, but you'll have to pay the cost of the calls yourselves. My bags were lost because I nearly missed my connection from Detroit to London, but Air France is going to send them to me as soon as possible and they're going to reimburse me for 100 euros for clothes and things that I might need. The youth hostel is very nice. It's the best one that I've seen. Anyway, that's all I have to say now. I hope to see more of Paris tomorrow, but I have no idea where I should start.

The Return
Well, I'm returning to France, but this time I'm going to Montpellier for a whole semester. I'm really excited to have another excursion in France, but I'm nevertheless a bit nervous to study at a French university. Many of my friends have asked me to keep them up to date, so I'm going to blog here. Like before, I'm gonna write in French and English so everyone can understand what I'm writing. Well, I'm gonna stop here for now. Later!
